FEAR AND HOPE

FEAR AND HOPE

Am I scared now, or thrilled to meet,
Wondering if this will be our last retreat.

Am I too loud, or cautious, too bold,
Has my heart been sold, or have I grown cold?

Worried to give my heart, so tightly strung,
Headed for a start, or a tale of lies unsung.

Can I trust, will you take my soul,
Or will love rust, leaving a painful hole?

I wish I had a manual, reminding what I forgot,
Forever ready, no tiptoeing in my lot.

Finding the right piece, unafraid to fall,
A perfect match, slow and sure, through it all.
